Bayern Munich managed to secure the services of Michael Olise from seemingly out of nowhere, beating Chelsea FC to the punch for the Crystal Palace winger. Eberechi Eze, with whom Olise played with at Palace, spoke highly of his teammate before the transfer was completed:
He is an incredible player. I enjoyed playing with him, two or three seasons now. He is a top, top player, top talent, top mentality, and yeah, he has got everything it takes to get to the top and to play the highest level football. Whether he is going there [Bayern] or not, I don’t know yet [laughs], but, for sure, he is an incredible player and he has got what it takes.

Olise joins Japanese international Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart and Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha from Fulham FC as Bayern’s major summer transfers ahead of the 2024/25 season.
