The future is uncertain for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz.
Some reports indicated that Peretz will battle for the No. 2 role behind Manuel Neuer, while others indicate he could be loaned out. Whatever happens, Peretz is glad to be with Bayern Munich and has loved his experience at the club.
“Bayern is the best club in the world, at least top three in the history of the game. It’s a different level – big budgets, endless personnel, a level of professionalism and precision in the smallest details. All the equipment you can only dream of, every device you need is there. You get personal care in every exercise. In every practice there’s someone who corrects you until you do it perfectly,” Peretz told Yediot Ahronot (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Reflecting back on his first season, Peretz appreciated being able to be part of the goalkeeper group with Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich.
“The talk was not about the first season, but about the future. Tuchel told me, ‘Train well, do well and you will be able to play. Neuer is injured, Ulreich is currently starting and he’s playing well, but you can overtake him. When Neuer comes back we will see how things develop’ — Ulreich played really well, and I trained hard. You can always get a chance out of nowhere. The first season was not for nothing. I feel much more mature and a better goalkeeper. It’s very difficult for me to watch games from the sidelines, but in the meantime I try to get the most out of it,” said Peretz.
