According to Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis, Bayern Munich is once again looking at AS Monaco striker Breel Embolo as an option to take over the back-up behind Harry Kane, that was occupied by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting last season:
Bayern are interested in Breel Embolo (27) to replace Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. There’s no offer yet, but Bayern’s interest is real. Embolo knows Max Eberl well from Gladbach. The Swiss striker feels comfortable in Monaco and was not planning to leave the club, unless Bayern or another top club makes a move for him. Monaco want to keep Embolo and are planning with him for the coming season.
Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug could be on the move (again). This time, Füllkrug could be headed to AC Milan:
This summer, there is a lot of fluctuation in Borussia Dortmund ‘s attack. Serhou Guirassy is supposed to come from VfB Stuttgart, but failed the medical check last Wednesday. If the transfer of the 28-goal striker goes through, Sébastien Haller will have to go. It is not yet clear how Niclas Füllkrug will react to a possible competitor, Guirassy.
For this reason, according to Sky Sports Italia, AC Milan has put out feelers for the German international. The matter could become more concrete at the beginning of next week, according to the broadcaster. Milan actually wanted to sign former Bayern player Joshua Zirkzee. However, he is likely to decide to move to Manchester United on the island, and Bayern would earn money from the transfer.
Consequently, Füllkrug is now Plan B for the Rossoneri. The Italian runners-up are also interested in Álvaro Morata. The captain of the Spanish national team will be playing with his team in the European Championship final against England on Sunday ( Sunday, 9 p.m., in the live ticker ). It is questionable whether a move for Füllkrug to Milan is really realistic. BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl explained in an interview with WAZ on Friday that the club is firmly planning on signing Füllkrug.
Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg added some additional context as well:
⚫️ The interest of @acmilan in Niclas Füllkrug is concrete!
Milan, informed about all details as first talks took place. But no negotiations, decisions or agreements yet.
Milan want to sign at least one more striker after Álvaro Morata. 31 y/o Füllkrug, a serious target for Milan. Tammy Abraham is also on the list.
Interesting: Füllkrug and Abraham, same agency (ROOF).
Bayern Munich’s preseason preparations are underway and soon, the full roster will be back in Bavaria ready to hit the ground running in the club’s quest to get back into the trophy-winning game.

Karim Adeyemi is apparently close to moving to Juventus Turin ! As the Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Sunday, the 22-year-old has already reached an agreement with Juve, and the clubs are reportedly in negotiations. A transfer fee of 30 million euros is being discussed.
Adeyemi is considered to be the dream player of the new Juve coach Thiago Motta, who took up his post at the Old Lady in mid-June. Adeyemi still has a contract in Westphalia until 2027, and last season he scored five goals and provided two assists in 34 competitive matches.
The offensive player moved from RB Salzburg to Dortmund in 2022. The Black and Yellows are said to have spent around 30 million euros at the time.
Chelsea FC is one of the few clubs who seemingly is not interested in RB Leipzig Dani Olmo:
Chelsea do not plan to trigger the £50m release clause in the contract of RB Leipzig and Spain star Dani Olmo, despite reports claiming otherwise.

“There are a lot. Besides (Manuel) Neuer, I’m also in excellent contact with (Serge) Gnabry, (Harry) Kane, (Jamal) Musiala and (Eric) Dier. They’re all good with me and we’re friends beyond the pitch. It’s really fun to experience that with people like them,” said Peretz.

Welcome to Mannheim, Feini!

Reus — in his healthy prime — was absolutely electric. Now, though, Reus is carrying years of injuries and a lot of age-related wear-and-tear. While he still has “name recognition”, Reus likely does not have a lot left in the tank.
Former Liverpool FC boss Jürgen Klopp will not be taking the opening England has for a new manager:

Here is what we have on tap for Episode 1 of this mini-series as we look at the team’s progress under head coach Julian Nagelsmann:
- It is important to remember that this showing represented progress.
- The ability to connect with players was key and the team responded to the coaching staff.
- There was a true sense of “oneness” and “team” within the squad.
- Nagelsmann still tinkers too much, is too loyal to certain players, and can’t help overcomplicating things.
- Nagelsmann needs to manage the generational transition very carefully.
- Overall, Germany is headed in the right direction.
