According to a report from Marca (as captured by Football Espana), the ongoing saga between Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Alphonso Davies is not close to a resolution:
Real Madrid remain an interested observer in Alphonso Davies‘ future, as the Canadian left-back weighs up his choices this summer. It was said that the 23-year-old would address his future after Copa America, but a week on from Canada’s exit, a decision does not look to be imminent.
Bayern Munich are still trying to persuade Davies to sign a contract renewal, with multiple sources saying their offer remains at €13m per annum, while his agent demands €20m. Marca note that as Real Madrid try to renew Ferland Mendy, Bayern and Davies are unlikely to take a decision on what they will do before the end of July.
If they cannot come to an agreement then, it is likely that Bayern will put him on the transfer market this summer, at which point Real Madrid will try to negotiate a deal for him likely around the €35m mark.
As expected (but also feared), this situation could take a while to resolve.
