According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich’s new ceiling for salaries might be set:
None of Bayern’s new signings so far this summer (João Palhinha, Michael Olise, Hiroki Itō) earns more than €12m gross per year, which is part of the club’s new strategy to reduce the wage bill.
It has been reported that Olise will make €13.5 million this season (per Capology.com), so there could some discrepancy on the numbers, but it is clear that Bayern Munich is looking to reduce its wage burden in a big way.
How will this affect big transfers (Florian Wirtz?) or big contract extensions (Jamal Musiala?) remains to be seen,
