There are various reports floating about how serious Bayern Munich is regarding a pursuit of RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo, but this particular story says that the Bavarians and Manchester City have already submitted “good offers” to Die Roten Bullen for Olmo:
Manchester City and Bayern Munich have reportedly submitted “good offers” to RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo, a target for Barcelona.
According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, relayed by Sport Witness, Dani Olmo is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants are keen on re-signing the RB Leipzig playmaker in the summer transfer window. However, the Spanish international “has good offers” from Bayern Munich and Manchester City, with the two clubs capable of triggering his release clause of €60 million.
The report has claimed that Bayern Munich and Manchester City have made “good offers” to the 26-year-old Spaniard. The Premier League champions have been advancing the move to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Manchester City should not have any qualms about triggering his release clause of €60 million to land him.
However, coughing up €60 million to re-sign the Spanish international might be an issue for Barcelona. While the Catalan giants are keen on bringing the RB Leipzig playmaker back to the club, they might not have the financial strength to afford a deal, especially with their top target, Nico Williams, being a big-money candidate.
So, Manchester City and Bayern Munich find themselves in a healthy position to beat Barcelona to Dani Olmo’s signature in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see who land the Spanish international.
Right now, it feels like Olmo is a second choice behind Xavi Simons, but the Spaniard could potentially also be a brilliant fit for Bayern Munich given his skill, experience, and versatility.
Newcastle United could make a play for outgoing Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa:
Newcastle United have held talks with Juventus winger Federico Chiesa after Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in the Italy international fell through.
Bayern Munich’s preseason is underway and the transfer window promises to offer up much change.
So what do we have to ta about on this show…let’s take a look at what’s on tap because there is a lot:
- Max Eberl might have shown his cards on the futures of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka.
- If Bayern Munich adds Désiré Doué and Xavi Simons, Bayern Munich is going to be way too overcrowded in the attack…right?
- Dani Olmo is likely only a contingency plan at this point.
- Manchester United is playing hardball over Matthijs de Ligt.
- What should fans be excited about at this stage…let us tell you!
- Talking The Boys season finale and House of the Dragon — plus scoping the next season Cobra Kai.
Manchester United could be looking for a massive flip of its roster:
The Red Devils also hope to shift central defender Victor Lindelof and midfielder Christian Eriksen in a shake-up of their squad ahead of next season.
Bayern Munich seems to have come up short in trying to acquire FC Barcelona talent Guille Fernandez:
The latest talent to be added to a list of promising renewals is 16-year-old Guille Fernandez. A talented and well-equipped young midfielder, he is the cousin of another Barça youngster, Toni Fernandez, who was also renewed not too long ago.
For three more seasons at the club, Guille Fernandez will remain a Barcelona player. However, it is worth noting that despite Barça’s success in retaining his services, the Catalan club was not the only suitor that wanted the young midfielder all to themselves.
According to SPORT, the likes of German giants Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Premier League champions Manchester City were all quite invested in the 16-year-old La Masia midfielder. Unfortunately for them, that interest was not a mutual one.
Bayern Munich’s preseason preparations are underway and soon, the full roster will be back in Bavaria ready to hit the ground running in the club’s quest to get back into the trophy-winning game.
To get back to there, though, Bayern Munich will need to finalize what figures to be an active summer of roster moves. Let’s talk about all of that and more on this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
