Rising Germany talent Brajan Gruda could be headed out of the Bundesliga after arriving on the scene with a splash last season.
The 20-year-old starred for Mainz 05, drawing admiration from Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller, and his success has landed him square in the sights of Premier League talent factory Brighton & Hove Albion — according to transfers journalist Fabrizio Romano:
Brighton are trying to advance on deal to sign Brajan Gruda as new midfielder, wanted by Fabian Hürzeler.
He’s the dream target for the midfield, difficult deal but concrete option.
Name exclusively revealed last week. ⤵️
Romano previously tweeted that Gruda was a “dream” transfer for Brighton:
Understand Brajan Gruda is one of the “dream” targets for Brighton this summer, considered as huge talent and future top player.
Not easy deal at all as Mainz plan to keep Gruda at the club, but Brighton have discussed his name internally.
Brighton has produced some serious talent in recent years, as evidenced by their list of transfer outgoings. From Moisés Caicedo (€116M to Chelsea FC) and Alexis Mac Allister (€42M to Liverpool) in 2023/24 to Marc Cucurella (€65M to Chelsea) and Leandro Trossard (€24M to Arsenal FC) in 2022/23, the Seagulls have made many players into big names on the transfer market.
And, of course, there is Bayern’s big signing of this new window: Michael Olise, who starred there in the last three seasons.
Could Gruda be the next one to blossom at Palace?
