Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau took in some of Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany’s first public training session and found the environment to be “intensive” and filled with a lot of one-on-one time for players:
Intensive public training session at FC Bayern! Lots of exercises with a ball, lots of interval runs. Vincent Kompany had his players train for two hours under the blazing sun, coached loudly – and used the breaks again and again for one-on-one conversations, like here with new signing Hiroki Ito. The good news: Aleks Pavlovic was able to take part in large parts of the team training again after his tonsil operation. @SkySportDE @SkySportNews
Similarly, Bild’s David Verhoff said that Kompany was heavily involved in all of the action and used a style similar to that of Pep Guardiola:
Vincent #Kompany right in the middle of it all! The new @FCBayern coach coaches in the middle of the field during all exercises, corrects the smallest details and positioning errors immediately, talks a lot with the players – that reminds us of his former coach at @ManCity : Pep #Guardiola #FCBayern #FCB
Finally, Sky Sport journo Torben Hoffmann said that Kompany stayed to take pictures and sign autographs for anyone who hung around:
Chapeau @VincentKompany
An hour of autographs after training. Didn’t leave a single fan out.

Boey doesn’t want to return to Galatasaray
Well, Sacha Boey made this pretty clear:
