Leroy Sané has been a wildcard for Bayern Munich in the recent seasons, but the current trend seems to be in the downward direction. It is undoubted that the winger possesses certain qualities, but the consistency of said qualities is what must be questioned.
After a questionable performance at the Euros, Sané’s capabilities have been in doubt by many, and whether or not he should be kept at Bayern is another big question. However, the club says that Sané isn’t exactly unsellable. Although a sale isn’t being pushed at the moment, there is still the possibility. It has also been reported (by Florian Plettenburg and Kerry Hau, captured by @iMiaSanMia) that Vincent Kompany and Max Eberl are of the opinion that Sane should stay.
Considering the interest from the two that most crucially affect this decision, Bayern has had good discussions to extend the German wingers contract. The fans are split on this one, some believe in giving him a second chance, while others believe he has received too many second chances. Whether or not he can actually deliver is the real question.
