Bayern Munich is refusing to budge off of its desired transfer fee for center-back Matthijs de Ligt.
That is proving to be a big roadblock in the club’s own hopes to offload De Ligt, whose salary number seems to be a big issue for the team. As it stands, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are still far apart on an agreement: per Fabrizio Romano (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Bayern are insisting on €50m guaranteed for Matthijs de Ligt while Manchester United are willing to offer around €35m plus add-ons.
The biggest problem is that there really is no “coming back” — Bayern Munich is already in too deep with its desire to sell De Ligt. The club cannot walk it back and might eventually have to lower its asking price.
