Jamal Musiala’s future at Bayern Munich is a little uncertain at the moment.
Surely, Musiala could ink a contract extension in Bavaria and work his way to being a club legend….or Musiala could look to greener pastures (from a money and footballing standpoint).
Per a report, if Musiala does explore his options (maybe as early as next summer), Manchester City would be “an attractive destination” for the Germany international:
Eventually, the time will come when Manchester City has to replace Kevin De Bruyne. That may not happen this summer but that time does appear to be sooner rather than later. As previously reported, the circumstances do appear to be lining up for a future move by the world champions for Bayern Munich prodigy Jamal Musiala. Now a new report indicates that the German international views Manchester City as an ‘attractive destination’.
Spanish publication Fichajes has reported that Musiala views Manchester City as an attractive destination to continue his career. Fichajes further reports that Musiala is considering his future at Bayern Munich. Furthermore, Fichajes adds that Musiala is reportedly unhappy with Bayern Munich’s recruitment policy.
The new report from Fichajes adds another intriguing layer to the case for Manchester City eventually moving for Jamal Musiala. Christian Falk has previously reported in his exclusive Daily Briefing column that the world champions have an interest in signing the Bayern Munich playmaker. But with Fichajes also reporting that Musiala is considering his future at Bayern it’s yet another small sign that the stars are aligning for a future City move for Musiala.
Per one report, free agent Adrien Rabiot has rejected Liverpool in hopes that Manchester United will make him an offer:
Liverpool have been rejected by former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who snubbed the chance to join the Reds and is holding out for an offer from Man Utd.
TEAMTalk (via 90Min.com) confirmed that report:
Adrien Rabiot wants to join Manchester United this summer after leaving Juventus on a free transfer.
Aside of Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Atlético de Madrid, and Real Madrid are also interested in Rabiot per Gazzetta dello Sport (via 90Min.com)
Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have all voiced an interest in midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is available on a free transfer following his departure from Juventus.
Bayern Munich took off for its jaunt in Asia where it will continue its preparation for the 2024/25 campaign. Competition on the squad will be fierce, moves will still be made (transfers in and out), and fan excitement/anxiety will likely start to skyrocket.
What better time to gauge how we are all feeling? Let’s get to it. This is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
- How about a heat check on where fans stand at this point of the transfer window?
- Joshua Kimmich is reportedly going to play out his contract — what does that mean for him and why it could be bad news for Bayern Munich.
- Noussair Mazraoui is just about gone, will Matthijs de Light follow him to Manchester United?
- The Entertainment Rundown featuring takes on House of the Dragon and…BlackBerry (!?).
RB Leipzig is not going to FC Barcelona’s latest offer fro Dani Olmo, which is a little surprising:
RB Leipzig, still not willing to accept the new offer from FC Barcelona for Dani #Olmo.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano says that Olmo’s agents want to get together and see what they can do to make the offer from FC Barcelona work out — or what would be needed to push it over the line:

It’s way too late, but Manchester United wanted to kick the tires on Xavi Simons anyway:
Manchester United are among the sides to have made late enquiries for PSG’s Xavi Simons, who will instead re-join RB Leipzig on loan for the 2024/25 season.
Simons is expected to go back to RB Leipzig.
As it has been anticipated, Borussia Dortmund striker and Germany international Niclas Füllkrug is headed to West Ham United:

Bayern Munich looks set to continue onward in its preseason knowing that changes are (maybe) coming.
An overloaded roster will eventually have to be addressed, but Vincent Kompany will have to deal with that, while also figuring out exactly what he has in this group and how he wants them to play.
That will be no easy task. Needless to say, we have a lot to chat about.
This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
- Is Bayern Munich’s front office taking an amateurish approach to this transfer window?
- João Palhinha looks and sounds like the real deal…can he avoid the pitfalls that have felled other big Bayern Munich signings?
- Despite the poor showings in friendlies, it is not time to panic at Bayern Munich just yet.
- Is it inevitable that Jamal Musiala leaves Bayern Munich next summer? Will Florian Wirtz replace him? Some things appear to be in motion, so let’s discuss.
Bayern Munich chose not to hire Hansi Flick for its open head coach position, so he went to FC Barcelona. In Catalonia, Flick wants to use Pep Guardiola’s time at Manchester City as a blueprint for how to evolve as a club:
