Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer had a good view of his team’s impressive showing during the first half of its 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in South Korea.
The goalkeeper watched as the Bayern Munich attack wreaked havoc on the London-based side.
“We got off to a good start, we put Tottenham under pressure early on and allowed them little. We created many chances by winning the ball high up the pitch. It’s just fun to see the team reward themselves for the hard work. We turned in a very good display in the first half in particular,” said Neuer.
The second half was a bit of a step down, but not enough for the Bavarians to falter. Hopefully for Neuer and his mates, this was a match to build a foundation for the season upon.
