England duo Harry Kane and Eric Dier, most commonly associated with Tottenham Hotspur, have been playing for Bayern Munich since summer 2023 and winter 2024 respectively. Presumably as part of the Kane deal, Bayern will play a friendly match against Spurs in London which is now set to include Dier as well. Captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia, the official statement by Tottenham on their website reads:
Saturday’s pre-season clash with FC Bayern at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium sees a return to N17 of Harry Kane and Eric Dier for the first time since their departures from the Club.
We have not previously had the opportunity to bid farewell to two players who have made such a significant contribution to our Club in recent years.
Ahead of the game, in recognition of their years of service to Tottenham Hotspur, the pair will be presented with commemorative gifts on behalf of the Club by our Ambassador, Ledley King.
Kane rose through the ranks of Tottenham and spent 14 years as a first team player, while Dier logged a nine-and-a-half year stay with the Londoners. The match will kick off on 12:30PM EDT, 5:30PM local time in England.
