According to a report from Sky Sport journalists Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich was “disappointed” with Désiré Doué’s decision to join Paris Saint-Germain. The move allegedly “surprised” the club, who was also left miffed that the player did not communicate his decision personally, but let his management team to the dirty work instead:
Bayern are disappointed with Désiré Doué’s decision to join PSG. The people in charge were optimistic that they would get the green light from the player after talks with him and his management. Eberl, Freund and Kompany put in a lot of effort and got positive signals from the player during the Olympics – that’s why the recent tendency was more towards a move to Bayern. Doué’s decision surprised the club. He did not inform Bayern personally of his decision, but through his management.
It is unclear whether or not Bayern Munich attempt to being in another wing, where the team is already well-stocked with bodies.
