At Bayern Munich, competition is inevitable. While Bayern Munich portrays the image of a “family” (there are, after all, former Bayern players in high positions in this club), there is plenty of competition for each and every position (except goalkeeper until Manuel Neuer decides to call it a day).
Serge Gnabry’s position is questioned every season at the club and it is no secret that certain members of the hierarchy have consistently called for player sales this year. Moreso, new players such as the electric French forward Michael Olise have been added to the roster.
Nonetheless, Gnabry, about to enter his seventh season at the club (he was loaned out in his first season in 2017 to TSG Hoffenheim), does not necessarily mind the competition according to @SkySportDE via @iMiaSanMia as he mentioned the following when asked about the matter: “A club like FC Bayern has always signed good players and always had good players. There’s always competition. For me personally, I want to perform, play a good season and have success with the team again.”
Gnabry might just continue his success at Bayern under Vincent Kompany; he certainly has the right attitude to do so.
