Victor Lindelof is back in Man United training for the first time since pre-season, following a toe injury.
Manchester United strengthened in the centre-half position over the summer, recruiting both Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro. However, we’ve barely seen the latter, who is missing until at least November.
The Frenchman isn’t the only centre-half who has been sidelined to start the campaign, with Victor Lindelof also missing serious time.
The Ice Man suffered a toe issue, before making a return for 45 minutes in pre-season and he seemingly reaggravated the problem. We haven’t seen him for two months. Until now…
United have confirmed that the Swede is back in first-team training, with pictures of the centre-half back out on the turf emerging online.

Lindelof will need time to get back up to full speed after so long out and the fact he’s practically had no pre-season, so we fans have to remain patient. It’s going to take him at least another couple of weeks before he’s on the bench and available for selection.
The good news about Lindelof is the fact that he can play at both left-back and centre-back. It bolsters Ten Hag’s options in two key areas on the field and I don’t doubt that he’ll see his fair share of minutes when he’s close to 100%.
Hopefully, Lindelof can now stay fit and become an important contributor to the squad.
