Man United sent scouts to keep an eye on Southampton winger, Tyler Dibling, over the weekend.
Manchester United Football Club certainly deserved the three points against Southampton a little over a week ago, though the game could have been different if the Saints converted their early penalty.
In the first 30 minutes of that match, Diogo Dalot was being given the runaround by an unknown name; Tyler Dibling.
Suddenly, the Englishman’s stock is rising after some excellent performances, including the one against Erik ten Hag’s men.
Now, according to HITC, United have since sent scouts to watch the exciting Premier League winger in action again, this time against Ipswich Town on Saturday. The attacker would reward the Reds scouts by scoring his first career goal.
The Old Trafford side were not the only team watching Dibling, with scouts from Tottenham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Brighton also said to be in attendance to keep an eye on the talented teen.
Dibling looks like the latest in a long line of Southampton academy graduates who have gone on to shine at the highest level, with the young man already performing with a maturity beyond his years.
It’s instantly easy to see why United are keen on bringing him in, due to his comfort on the ball, direct nature and ability to excite the fans.
Beating out competition for his signature will not be easy, while Southampton will be desperate to keep ahold of their next emerging starlet for as long as possible, in the hope that his transfer value continues to rise.
It could prove tough for the South Coast club, though, as Dibling’s head may already be beginning to turn…
