Leicester are up against Bournemouth in their next fixture, playing The Cherries at home on Saturday. This will in a way be a make or break for Steve Cooper, as his time at Leicester could be up if he drops all three points.
Bournemouth comes to King Power from a very strong 3-1 win vs. Southampton at home, and it will be a tough test for Steve Cooper with his juggling team selection policy. So far we have seen nothing to believe this will become a happy formula.
Leicester are still waiting for their first three pointer and it looks difficult for newly promoted teams to be able to get wins on board, not really having the players to fill the roles needed, but the opposite can be said about Leicester who have quality players, but so far Steve Cooper is far from getting it correct.
The reason for concern is the lack of consistancy and also questionable to see certain players picked in front of people that has been doing well for the club last season, so we cannot understand why certain moves are done and that players coming in has not fully been rated to their potential as they are possibly nothing more than what the club has in the bag from before.
The fact that Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Gareth Southgate, Massimiliano Allegri, David Moyes, Kasper Hjulmand, Daniele De Rossi, Maurizio Sarri, Janne Andersson and Rob Page are all available at this point, makes it easy to pull the trigger. Will be interesting to see how long Leicester owners will stay calm.
Three successful Leicester managers, Enzo Maresca, Martin O’Neill and Claudio Ranieri (first season), had a clear and obvious idea of how to play their team, as it was like a train on time in every game, not always a win, but still they had their selection control in place, with no one questioning their policy.
To see Steve Cooper doing so many changes to what Enzo Maresca valued, looks strange, as the new boss have to look at what worked and what did not, and he has to build a clear vision on his options, as we have said before, the player he heavilly needed to replace was Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but he has not found a player that can do his job, so why was that?
Leicester will play the following teams in their next five Premier League fixtures,
Bournemouth, Southampton, Forest, Man Utd, Chelsea.
These fixtures are massive and we do believe that at least 7 points must be taken on board from these five games, if not we do believe Steve Cooper no longer is in charge at the end of November. His start looks difficult and he looks to be out of clear ideas on how he would like to play and how he makes his selections.
