Finland star Topi Keskinen has a tattoo of Wayne Rooney and has explained the reasoning behind it, including his mum’s love for Everton and his own passion for fishing
Topi Keskinen, the Finland sensation, has opened up about the unique tattoo homage he pays to former Everton forward Wayne Rooney, explaining how the Manchester United all-time top scorer became his idol.
Rooney is currently steering Championship team Plymouth Argyle through the season, where they’re perched at a mid-table 14th position, and it’s clear this former England skipper hasn’t been forgotten by fans like Keskinen.
At 21, Keskinen – who now sports a creative tattoo tribute to Rooney – recounts the design inspired by his Evertonian mum. “My mum’s an Everton fan and Rooney played there and when he made a move to Manchester United, I started watching United games.”

“He was like an idol to me on the field. I was watching his highlights in every game that he played in his career, so he’s my favourite player in my life.”
“So, I tattooed him fishing, because I like fishing also. It’s my two favourite things combined in one tattoo.” reports the Manchester Evening News.
Keskinen started for Finland on Sunday night against the Three Lions. England eventually emerged as 3-1 winners after goals from Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice.
