Keeping possession of the football seemed to be going out of style and almost a dying art. New coaching styles and a need for better entertainment has produced an array of prodigious dribblers on display every week in the Premier League. The skilled showmen listed below can be electrifying to watch and a brilliant asset to have – as long as they are playing for your team.
From an exclusive list of clubs comes the list of the top ten dribblers so far this season 2024-5, representing the elite of the Premier League: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and – West Ham United.
Planetfootball.com crunched the numbers to see which player had taken on, and completed the most dribbles so far in this 2024/5 season. It is a pretty illustrious list of ball players!
If I tell you that the list includes: Jadon Sancho, Morgan Rogers, Kobbie Mainoo, Bukayo Saka and Jeremy N’doku you’ll understand that there are some pretty serious ballers in that list.
To save running through the whole ten I’ll zoom to the top three and give you the results in reverse order:
3. Omari Hutchinson – 18 dribbles : Flourishing since he joined Ipswich Town even though the club are winless to date.
2. Adama Traore – 21 dribbles : A regular defender terroriser. Still only second in the list because of none other than:
1. Mohammed Kudus – 23 dribbles. The Hammers’ favourite forward topped the five major leagues in Europe last season as the best dribbler of a football. Our eyes have told us that we have a world-beater at our club: Now we have more stats to prove it.
Last season the end product was incredible to behold and whilst Kudus hasn’t yet repeated the ‘worldie’ goals that he scored for West Ham last year, we all know the next ones could be just around the corner with talent as huge as his. Sometimes the temptation is to take talent for granted. Reports like this help to avoid making that mistake and to appreciate fully what Kudus brings to London Stadium for our entertainment.
