The Everton manager said he did not believe the defeat to Southampton represented a missed opportunity ahead of a tricky run of games
Sean Dyche remains adamant Everton’s upcoming fixtures are not causing him any additional concern. The Blues face a daunting December that includes a streak of games in which they will play Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
That run starts with a trip to Old Trafford, where Everton will be Manchester United’s first Premier League home game under new boss Ruben Amorin, before the visit of a Wolves side under huge pressure.
Before then, Everton will go away to in-trouble West Ham United and host Brentford either side of the November international break. Those games have added significance after the defeat to Southampton.

A win on the south coast would have pushed the Blues into mid-table and opened up a sizeable gap on the Saints and those around them. Instead, the hosts were able to find their first league win, providing a much-needed confidence boost while ending Everton’s five game unbeaten run.
Dyche did not concede the defeat to Southampton represented a missed opportunity and when asked whether the looming schedule meant this was a period during which Everton needed to pick up points, he said: “No. It feels like the Premier League. It feels like this is what happens in the Premier League.
“This is my tenth season. There are bits of the season where you go ‘that one looks tricky’. But you have to go through it, every team will have the same sort of thing. I can assure you the top teams look at it and think the same. That’s the way it goes in the Premier League.”
