Tottenham keen on Boca Juniors talent Kevin Zenon
Tottenham Hotspur need a couple of new additions to their squad despite spending millions during the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites have endured a highly inconsistent start to their Premier League season. Yet, Ange Postecoglou’s side are now seventh in the table and only two points fourth-place Chelsea. Thumping wins over Manchester United, West Ham United and Aston Villa suggest that the north Londoners are heading in the right direction under the management of Ange Postecoglou.
They could do extremely well with a new signing or two in the January transfer window. There has been a change in transfer strategy at N17 where the club have prioritised signing highly rated talents with potential to develop into world-beaters as they nurture them at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And in line with the newly adapted recruitment policy, Spurs have been linked with a move for a young Argentinean attacker.
According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are set to battle it out with Premier League rivals Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion for the signing of highly-rated Boca Juniors winger Kevin Zenon.
Benfica, Napoli and Lyon could also be teams from Europe to watch out for in the race for the South American talent’s signature, with the player likely to be available for relatively cheap as he has a £13m buyout clause in his contract with Boca Juniors. Kevin Zenon is a highly versatile player, capable enough to operate in midfield, left-wing and or left-back, so he could potentially add a lot of value to the Spurs side.
The aforementioned report adds Tottenham are among the clubs starting to intensify their interest in a possible deal for Zenon, who has quickly become one of Boca Juniors’ most important players after only arriving at the club in early 2024 from Unión Santa Fe.
The London-based club have scouted the Argentinean youth international in the past six months. The Goya-born talent has the attributes to thrive in Big Ange’s system at Spurs and light up the Premier League. For Spurs, with clubs circling him, they need to start laying groundwork if Daniel Levy and Johan Lange are serious about the prospect of recruiting the versatile 23-year-old.

Zenon is a huge talent, and although Boca will no doubt be keen to retain his services, they would be powerless if Spurs or any prestigious European club come calling for him in January 2025.
