Bayern Munich academy talent Frans Krätzig is not yet enjoying his breakthrough this season. On loan assignment at VfB Stuttgart, Krätzig has yet to make his way into the XI of head coach Sebastian Hoeneß, earning just two starts and four appearances overall in all competitions — with just one of those matches coming in league action (via fbref).
The situation is not favorable for the 21-year-old at the moment. After all, he swapped Bayern for Stuttgart in order to play — and has so far accumulated more time in the 3. Liga (78 minutes) than the top flight (56).
Could the Bavarians recall him in the next transfer window? Sky Sport DE journalist Florian Plettenberg has the scoop. Via @iMiaSanMia:
Frans Krätzig’s loan deal to Stuttgart could be terminated in January. It’s not concrete at the moment, but it’s a possibility. Krätzig is not getting enough game time at VfB. His contract at Bayern runs until 2027 [@Plettigoal, @SkySportNews]
Krätzig, a left-back or left midfielder, still has a bright future ahead of him and an abundance of potential. He just may need to find a different environment in order to begin reaching it.
