Corner is cleared by captain Tarkowski, making up for his error and there’s the halftime whistle.
44’ – West Ham have their first shot, and it comes from Antonio holding off Tarky and Branth, Bowen tries to beat Pickford at the near post but a strong hand pushes it out for a corner.
Inswinger deep into a crowded box, Paqueta’s header cleared by Lindstrom.
One minute to be added on.
41’ – Everton’s gameplan seems to be predicated on crossing the ball into about the twelve-yard area and hope DCL gets a lucky header to beat Fabianski from that distance.
36’ – Lindstrom receives the ball and is charging forward, plays a ball into space for Doucs who did not realize that was for him and doesn’t move. Urgh.

29’ – Tarky uncorks one of his long crossfield balls and finds Myko streaking down the left, his volleyed cross is cut out for a corner by Tobibo. Poor from Lindstrom though and it’s cleared. Everton holding the ball well, though it’s mostly in ineffective areas.

1’ – Kickoff!
The players are out in the middle of the pitch for the Remembrance Day services. We’ll be underway in just a bit.
Everton – Doucoure and Ndiaye have recovered from their knocks but McNeil is out. Dyche finally reinstates Branthwaite to the XI, but keeps Calvert-Lewin in over Beto
West Ham – Lopetegui will have plenty of pace out wide with Summerville getting the start.
Everton probably paid the price for an undeserved point against Fulham by losing away at Southampton, but against a West Ham United side they could leapfrog by beating today, they will need to do more.
Profligate finishing and suspect defending are hurting any chances the Toffees have of ensuring Goodison Park’s last days are not fraught with the tension of a late-season relegation battle. Will Sean Dyche buckle and make some changes, especially given how conservatively he likes to set-up away from home.
The Hammers for their part are finding life difficult maintaining discipline on the pitch, with both Mohamed Kudus and Edson Alvarez missing this clash after picking up red cards.

The Blues won this corresponding tie with a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal when they met in the capital in late October last season. However, the Hammers exacted their revenge in a 3-1 win at Goodison Park in March as the spectre of relegation still loomed, Beto getting the sole Blues goal.
