The Everton manager shared an update on the two injured centre-forwards after the 0-0 draw at West Ham
Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti could soon help Sean Dyche attempt to mix up his attacking options. Everton left the London Stadium with Dyche admitting he was still “wondering” whether a draw should have been turned into a victory.
That followed a match in which Everton were largely comfortable, though in debt to Jordan Pickford for a stoppage time reflex save from Danny Ings.
After the match Dyche offered praise for his attacking players on the day but accepted his team lacked the “bit of devil” needed to create better chances. Introducing Broja and Chermiti into the post-match discussion, he said: “They will hopefully come back and add to the mix and the potential to score more goals.”

Neither has played for Everton this season. Chermiti had an impressive start to pre-season before picking up a foot injury that required surgery. Broja signed on loan from Chelsea on deadline day with an achilles issue and has just returned to training.
Asked whether the pair were ready for a behind-closed-doors friendly over the international break, Dyche said: “They’re not quite ready for that yet, so Broja and Youssef being the main two. Seamus [Coleman] has the hamstring so we are going to have to settle that down. The others we will have to be careful with.”
During the October international break Everton lost Tim Iroegbunam and James Garner to serious injuries. Dyche added: “The challenge is, if you are playing the games, not getting them re-injured.
“We are trying to come through that, we’re looking at the stats and facts, trying to judge the right time to get these players games but certainly they are the main two and [Nathan] Patterson is coming back stronger as well but they are the main two, Youssef and Broja, who will need that games programme but they’re building up to that now.”
