Eagle-eyed Manchester United fans have a theory about Ruben Amorim’s first signing as manager.
Supporters are convinced they spotted a hint at his transfer plans in his revealing first interview since taking charge.
Amorim arrived at the club this week after being announced as Erik ten Hag‘s replacement.
He has since spoken to United’s media channels for the first time, with fans given the chance to hear from their new boss.
During the video of the discussion, supporters spotted Amorim interlocking his hands whilst speaking.
His gesture was similar to the trademark celebration of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Some fans took this as a hint Amorim could look to reunite with the Swedish forward at Old Trafford.
Reacting on social media, one supporter wrote: “Can’t believe Ruben Amorim confirmed we are signing Gyokeres in this interview.”
Another added: “We will be there.”
However, not all Red Devils fans were in agreement, with a third commenting: “Bro come on, so out of context.”
Meanwhile, one more said: “I saw that too but I didn’t interpret it that way.”
Gyokeres has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League after continuing his stunning scoring form for Sporting.
Since being signed from Coventry by Amorim last summer, the 26-year-old has scored 66 goals in 68 appearances along with 19 assists.
Those strikes include a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League earlier this month.
As for Amorim, he told fans in his interview: “First of all, I think I felt a connection with the club.
“And when I say with the club, everybody knows Manchester United. But I feel the connection with the people in the club and that is very important for me because I want to work with people that I like and I feel a connection.
“The second point is the history of this club. All the people are hungry for success and I feel that this is the place that I want to be also because of that, because you can be part of something special, not just one more.
“And that is something that I really like. And of course, because of the fans, because in Portugal you listen a lot, a lot of stuff from the media.
“But when you see the games here, when you see the games, the interaction with the managers, with the players, even in difficult moments, I think it is a special club.”
The 39-year-old will take charge of his first match as manager away to Ipswich on November 24.
