Viktor Gyokeres has left Manchester United fans desperate for him to sign after scoring a stunning four goals for Sweden.
The striker extended his tally to 15 in 26 appearances for his country in their 6-0 Nations League thrashing of Azerbaijan on Tuesday night.
Gyokeres’ hat-trick is also his fourth of the 2024/25 season so far, with three of those coming for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
With 32 goals to his name for both club and country, the 26-year-old is undoubtedly one of, if not the most, in-form player in Europe.
His immense success in front of goal has certainly caught the eye of United fans, especially after his latest excellent showing for Sweden.
Taking to X, one fan said: “Manchester United have got to sign this man at all costs. Gyokeres under Ruben Amorim in the Premier League needs to happen.”

“Gyokeres is a must buy for United next summer, get him in,” added a second.
A third said: “Viktor Gyokeres scored four already in tonight’s game ffs. Big pile of clubs waiting for him in summer. Hope we get it done.”
“I think Manchester United need to get Viktor Gyokeres ASAP,” added a fourth, with the forward clearly making an impression.
A move to Old Trafford would reunite him with Ruben Amorim after he left Sporting for the United manager role earlier in the month.
However, when asked if he would bring the Swede with him, Amorim played down the prospect by refusing to joke about a transfer.
Gyokeres’ four goals against Azerbaijan means he now sits top of the Nations League scoring charts with nine across six matches.
He is two goals ahead of Norway and Manchester city star Erling Haaland, but it’s not the only competition he leads the way in.
The forward is the top scorer in the Liga Portugal with 16 goals, with Porto stars Galeno and Samu Aghehowa the closest on eight each.
Gyokeres is also tops the Champions League standings on five goals alongside Barcelona’s Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane.
English football fans will have been aware of his quality for some time following his excellent form for Championship side Coventry City.
He scored 43 goals across three seasons for the Sky Blues, with 21 of those coming in the 2022/23 campaign before he signed for Sporting.
Since moving to Portugal, Gyokeres has netted 66 goals in 68 matches for the club and assisted another 19 for his teammates.
Even though it’s only November, he has already amassed 23 goals for Sporting in 18 appearances this season.
Gyokeres has a release clause of £84million in his contract, a fee that many of Europe’s elite clubs may be willing to pay for his services.
