Jamal Musiala might just be Bayern Munich’s talisman right now. He is easily the most important player at this club currently and his absence is felt whenever he is not around. While he chose to move to Germany from England (Chelsea’s youth academy) before his career at the senior level began, he could have still chosen to play for the senior English men’s national team. He chose not to and represents Germany now.
Along with Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, he is at the heart of the national side. According to @iMiaSanMia, Musiala mentioned the following about his choice: “It was important to me to take the time and listen to my gut feeling. I wasn’t thinking about who was better at the moment. Both nations have a great history. I made sure that I didn’t regret anything, no matter what decision I made. And I haven’t looked back since then.”

When asked about England’s better prospects at landing a title he mentioned: “No, that’s no longer a topic for me. I always had faith that our time with the German national team would come and that we would take steps forward again.”
Considering how the national side has progressed since Julian Nagelsmann took over, Musiala might prove to be right!
