Bayern Munich, despite its stature, has proven that other clubs can overcome the mighty Bavarians even if the bookies had the match in favor of the Rekordmeister. A young player like Aleksandar Pavlović must face this early on in his career, so how does he deal with that?
“It’s always bad when you lose. But my motto is: stay positive, see what needs to be improved and give it your all again next time”, Pavlović explained at a Kids’ Club discussion (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
It was then revealed by the 20-year-old that something has brought him luck (lucky for the results, his fitness not so much): his unique shirt number. “As a youth player, you’re simply given a random number in the first team”, he said. “For me it was 45. I’ve kept it until now and have no plans to change. I’m a bit superstitious, the number has brought me luck so far”.
This was the same question asked of his Bayern teammate Jamal Musiala and Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold, who don the numbers 42 and 66 respectively. Both players were assigned those numbers from the off and never bothered with changing them.
