Bayern Munich’s signing of Harry Kane has possible gone better than anyone could have expected. With the pressure of replacing legendary goal scorer Robert Lewandowski, labeled as the missing piece that will bring the club to glory and arriving as the record signing of the club, the pressure was immense for the signing from Tottenham Hotspur to hit the ground running. 64 goals in 65 games later, it is safe to say that Kane has done a pretty good job.
So good, in fact, that he has earned himself a showcase in the FC Bayern Museum. Such a reward is rare, especially when the player in question has barely been at the club for a year. “The move to the Bundesliga and to a global club like FC Bayern was an exciting challenge and a unique experience for me,” Kane himself said about being rewarded with being immortalized in the museum. “My family and I feel very much at home in Munich. The awards from this first year at FC Bayern strengthen my commitment to winning even more titles for the club.”
The jokes about winning actual trophies write themselves, but if his continued phenomenal contributions in attack continue, Bayern have every reason to believe they will end their trophyless streak with aplomb this year.
