The hits just keep on coming for Bayern Munich.
Per a release from FCBayern.com, Jamal Musiala is out for “the time being” due to an illness:
Jamal Musiala is out of action for now because of a cold and must therefore sit out FC Bayern training ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga match at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
It remains to be seen if Musiala will be healthy enough to take on Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, but this illness was described as “nothing serious” on Monday by Max Eberl.
But wait…THERE’S MORE!
João Palhinha
According to Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau, João Palhinha’s comeback has hit a snag:
João Palhinha’s comeback, which was planned for early January, has been delayed. Gladbach is not an option, and Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg are also unrealistic as of today. A further examination is planned for next week, which should provide information on when the Portuguese can be used again.
This is bad news for the Portuguese international who already was having trouble getting minutes before this injury.
Daniel Peretz
While we already knew that Peretz suffered a really odd kidney injury during training, now we have some details of just how serious the situation was per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia). The latest time estimate for how long the goalkeeper will be out is “a few weeks”:
An ambulance and an emergency doctor’s car arrived at Säbener Straße yesterday and transported Daniel Peretz to the hospital after he suffered a kidney injury. Peretz sustained the injury in training, the diagnosis was made by Bayern doctors at Säbener Straße, but an ambulance was called as a precaution since such injuries can be extremely dangerous. The goalkeeper will be out for a few weeks.
Overall
Tz (via @iMiaSanMia) wrapped all of the injuries up like this given the information it has gathered:
Jamal Musiala, Josip Stanišić, Hiroki Itō, João Palhinha, Daniel Peretz and Sacha Boey are definitely ruled out of Saturday’s game against Borussia Mönchengladbach
The plan for Musiala is to resume training after the Gladbach game and return to the squad against Hoffenheim on Wednesday.
