Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be on the move this year. The 23-year-old Georgian has caught the attention of top clubs after deciding not to extend his contract, which is set to run until 2027.
According to TalkSPORT, Manchester United’s interest in Kvaratskhelia is growing, with Liverpool also keeping an eye on the situation. His standout performances for Napoli have made him a target for several Premier League clubs.
There have also been talks between Manchester United and Napoli regarding Marcus Rashford’s future, and Kvaratskhelia has emerged as a potential replacement and a priority for the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that PSG and Napoli plan to meet next week to finalize Kvaratskhelia’s transfer. Reports suggest a verbal agreement is already in place.
PSG are reportedly ready to offer €70 million to €75 million or propose a deal that includes Milan Škriniar on loan, with Napoli covering his full wages.
Antonio Conte breaks silence on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia rumors
Amid the rumors linking the Napoli star to a make a switch this January window, manager Antonio Conte didn’t hid his emotions when speaking to the media.
“I am deeply disappointed,” Conte said. “I spent six months working with Kvara to make him feel central to the project: working with him, showing him that we could do something great, and collaborating with the club to negotiate his contract. But after six months, it’s back to square one.”
PSG are closing in on signing Kvaratskhelia, with journalist Ben Jacobs reporting on Saturday that the player has agreed to personal terms on a contract through the summer of 2029. The Georgian winger, who made his desire to join PSG clear last summer, reiterated his interest earlier this month.
Negotiations between PSG and Napoli are still ongoing, but there’s growing optimism that a deal could be reached soon. Napoli are reportedly open to a January departure, which could help speed up the process.
While Napoli would entertain interest from other clubs, no formal offers from Premier League teams have been made as of Saturday. It seems increasingly likely that Kvaratskhelia’s move will be finalized next week.
