Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala seems to have gotten over his bout with an illness (described as the flu by some outlets) as he returned to team training today.
FCBayern.com provided an update:
Among the players out on the training ground at Säbener Straße was Jamal Musiala. The 21-year-old had missed the weekend’s action with flu and has now been able to complete parts of team training again. Bayern are at the start of an intense and crucial period that sees six games in the space of 18 days, including the final two matches of the Champions League’s league phase.
The youngster was missed during Bayern Munich’s 1-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. It is not clear if Musiala will be be deemed ready to go for the squad’s match against Hoffenheim on Wednesday:
Dier in line for another start?
Against Gladbach, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany was forced to use Eric Dier given the suspension to Dayot Upamecano. Dier turned in a very strong effort next to Kim Min-jae. Now, it could be Min-jae, who Dier is subbing in for as the South Korean did not train on Monday and was given a rest per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):
Kim Min-jae was given a rest today and did not train with the team
According to a report from Tz journalists Philipp Kessler and Vinzent Tschirpke, Min-jae has been battling a nagging injury and Dier could be rewarded with another start vs. Hoffenheim (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
There’s a possibility Eric Dier could start alongside Dayot Upamecano at centre-back against Hoffenheim. Kim Min-jae has been carrying Achilles tendon problems and knee pain in the past few months and could get a rest mid-week to avoid potential complications.
Palhinha, Stanišić making progress
According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), João Palhinha and Josip Stanišić are making progress, but Sacha Boey and Hiroki Itō might have a way to go before they can return:
João Palhinha and Josip Stanišić worked alongside assistant coach Floribert N’Galula today, which indicates they’re close to resuming team training. Meanwhile, Sacha Boey and Hiroki Itō completed a fitness session.
