One Chelsea insider has now named five players on the Chelsea transfer shortlist for the full back area as they look at strengthening this position soon.
Things are absolutely happening right now at Chelsea, and it looks like they are looking to bring Trevoh Chalobah back from his loan move at Crystal Palace, with a decision now being made on that last night. As well as Chalobah, there is still a fair chance that Chelsea sign a new striker in this month’s winter transfer window as well, with names such as Liam Delap the ones linked the most right now.

After Chelsea only managed a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth last night, there are still clear improvements that this squad needs to make, and bringing Chalobah back will certainly help improve the right sided centre back area.
But Chelsea are also now looking at left backs as well, although this is a position that might wait until the summer transfer window.
Left back shortlist
Our reporter Simon Phillips has put out a sourced article this morning on his Substack site with five left back names on the Chelsea shortlist.
He says:
“Chelsea are looking at new left backs and have been for some time. They have been drawing up a potential new left back shortlist, and I can reveal some names on it below. Remember, these will never be the only names, but just some that our sources are hearing about.
“So in no particular order, these are the names that our SPTC sources know are being considered by Chelsea right now at left back.
- Milos Kerkez [Bournemouth]
- Nuno Mendes [PSG]
- Bradley Locko [Brest]
- Antonee Robinson [Fulham]
- Patrick Dorgu [Lecce]
“There is nothing advanced yet for any of these as far as we know, just interest. But a new left back is certainly one of the many positions still on the agenda for upgrading in.”
