Tottenham-linked Randal Kolo Muani has decided to join Juventus on loan
Tottenham Hotspur have already made one signing this month, with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky arriving from Slavia Prague.
With the Lilywhites struggling for form amid a spate of injuries, there is a need for the Hotspur Way chiefs to strengthen Ange Postecoglou’s squad. The defence and attack have been severely hit with injuries, despite Richarlison and Mikey Moore making their comebacks recently after recovering from their respective issues respectively.
Spurs also showed a desire to strengthen their attack by submitting a loan offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani earlier this week. The France striker, however, has opted to join Serie A giants Juventus and is set to complete a loan deal imminently.
Ange Postecoglou faced the media at the Hotspur Way on Friday ahead of Spurs’ trip to Everton in the Premier League. Asked about the move and whether Spurs were in the mix for Randal Kolo Muani, the Tottenham gaffer said (h/t Football London):
“We were in… Well, it depends what you mean for in. We’ve been interested and were looking at a number of players. But did we get to the point where we thought he was coming to us? No.”
Over recent weeks, speculation surrounding Kolo Muani’s future at PSG has dominated transfer headlines and tabloid back pages. Spurs were firmly interested in securing the 26-year-old’s signature, as further demonstrated by Big Ange’s words in the latest press conference.
After putting in so much effort to sign the Frenchman, with Daniel Levy, alongside director of football Johan Lange, reportedly flying to Paris to try and negotiate a deal earlier this month, missing out on the striker is a seismic blow to Big Ange and Spurs. Even though Big Ange denied missing out on the player wasn’t a big setback, deep down he knows he would have loved to have a versatile, technically gifted forward on loan in his roster.
The Hotspur Way chiefs must now quickly move on to other targets to strengthen the Australian’s attacking ranks. On Friday, the 59-year-old tactician’s admission that the club is working hard behind the scenes and actively monitoring several players gives Spurs fans hope as they are excited to see further reinforcements after Kinsky’s acquisition.

Hopefully, Levy and Lange succeed in delivering a couple of quality new signings to Big Ange amid desperate times at White Hart Lane.
