West Ham United could face some serious competition from Liverpool for one of our key targets in the January window it seems.
In fact, it’s worse than that, Liverpool boss Arne Slot seems to be in prime position to beat West Ham to an incredible talent’s signature.
The current January window will be a vitally important one for Graham Potter, if he is to bring some success to the London Stadium.
Potter has already insisted that he’s keen to strengthen his ranks in January, and he cannot afford to exit the window without having brought in at least one signing.
In reality, he needs to bring at least two players to the club this winter.
One area where we’re desperately short right now is in the attacking department, and we’re absolutely crying out for some explosive pace.
The perfect player for the Hammers is said to be on the club’s radar, but Liverpool could be ready to scupper our plans it seems.
Liverpool hijack West Ham move to sign winger in January window
So the Hammers will have our work cut out if we are to sign one of our key targets this winter.
Liverpool have allegedly moved in to place to hijack the Hammers move for one of the brightest young talents on the continent.
According to a report from Solo Lecce, Liverpool are ready to make a £33 million bid to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.
West Ham have been working hard to sign Dorgu since the start of December, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 20-year-old is an elite young talent, and Liverpool coming in for him is terrible news for West Ham.
That’s because the Hammers are in desperate need of someone with Dorgu’s ability.
Denmark under-21 coach Steffen Hojer labelled Dorgu as ‘special’ (BOLD), and he’s bang on the money, what a talent he is.
The young Dane has pace, power and blistering pace in abundance.
He is destined for big things, if he continues to work hard and applies himself correctly of course.
Patrick Dorgu is exactly the type of player West Ham should be signing in the January transfer window, but it now seems like he could be Liverpool bound.
And that’s terrible news for the Hammers as far as I’m concerned.
