Back in November 2023, there was talk of a documentary focused on Bayern Munich hero Thomas Müller. With reduced appearances and impact, the time to say goodbye to a footballing great is nearing. Twitter account @iMiaSanMia reveals the documentary’s name and release date.
The new documentary about is titled “Einer wie keiner” (One of a kind) and it will be released via Prime Video on March 4, 2025. It is described as an “intimate and authentic insight into the professional and private life of one of the greatest German footballers of all time”.
The title practically sums up Thomas Müller as a player and a person. Unparalleled football intelligence mixed with exuberance, and you get yourself one of the most unique footballers the sport has ever seen; one of a kind. If Thomas does hang up his boots at the end of the season, he will have completed 25 years at Bayern, stretching back to his days with the youth teams.
Most, if not all, Bayern fans are not ready to say goodbye to one of the last one-club greats of the sport. The 35-year-old is FC Bayern Müller—sorry—FC Bayern München through and through. The club will never be the same without Thomas Müller. No cutting onions, please.
Thomas Müller can’t beat you with his close ball control. He can’t beat you with his pace. And he can’t beat you with his dribbling skills. He just beats you.
