West Ham United seemingly have a great opportunity to sign a proven forward.
Graham Potter needs to make some signings for the here and now at West Ham in the January window.
It seems like Ajax forward Brian Brobbey is en route to West Ham, but signing him alone will simply not be enough.
Ezechiel Banzuzi is another player expected to join the Hammers this window, and the powerful box-to-box midfielder will add so much to the way that we play.
However, moving forward, Potter needs to significantly strengthen his attacking department as well, with or without the signing of Brobbey.
Mohammed Kudus could be off in the summer, if a club activates his £85 million release clause, whilst Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Danny Ings may well never play for West Ham again.
It’s time for the Hammers to mount a full scale assault on the transfer market.
And one player in particular appears to be there for the taking.
Baris Alper Yilmaz promised West Ham move
Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz has seemingly been told that he will be allowed to join the Hammers.
The 24-year-old has been described as ‘incredible’ by beIN SPORTS, and they’re spot on.
Yilmaz is an exceptional talent who is incredibly versatile as well – he can play on both wings and through the middle if need be.
And it appears as though he could be London Stadium bound.
According to a report from Sabah (print edition January 24th, page 15), Galatasaray have promised Yilmaz that he will be allowed to join West Ham.
That is on the condition that the Hammers pay £25 million for the 24-year-old forward.
However, the annoying twist is that the Turkey international will only be able to join West Ham in the summer, rather than in the January window.
I believe that Baris Alper Yilmaz will be a really solid addition for West Ham in the long-term, if we can make a deal happen in the summer.
He has bagged 10 goals in 19 Super Lig games for Galatasaray this season, and he is a real match-winner on his day.
Yilmaz possesses impressive pace, has superb technical ability and is a superb finisher.
I would like to see the Galatasaray winger join West Ham. Unfortunately though, we won’t have a chance of signing him until the summer at the earliest.
