Fabrizio Romano insists Tottenham will sign more players in January
Tottenham Hotspur have made only one notable signing so far in January in the shape of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky. And while the Czech star’s acquisition is already bearing fruit, the Lilywhites require some new faces, especially at the back and in offence, with Ange Postecoglou acknowledging the need for signings but remaining unsure over any more business by the board.
Fabrizio Romano believes otherwise, however, as the Italian transfer insider affirmed that he expects Tottenham Hotspur to be busy in the days that remain of the winter window. He was quizzed over the club’s plans by GiveMeSport (h/t TBR Football) and while Romano refused to namedrop any potential targets, he had the following to say to the source.
“No concrete update yet, but Spurs are surely expected to bring in new players before the end of the window. Sources believe there will be movements.”
While Tottenham are in need of some more signings and should ideally have brought in some players over 20 days into January though at the same time, it is now hard to see them bringing in any useful players. A number of clubs from around Europe will be reluctant to part ways with key men from their squads with barely any time between now and the end of the transfer window.

As things stand, Ange Postecoglou’s side are scrambling to finish in the top half of the Premier League but remain active in the cup competitions. If the Australian can pull an injury-ridden side to an elusive piece of silverware, it would be a brilliant achievement and one that would warrant some serious backing in the summer transfer window.
