Mahmoud Dahoud is reportedly in advanced discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion to move to the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly closing in on the signing of Borussia Dortmund‘s Mahmoud Dahoud.
The midfielder’s contract at the Bundesliga side runs out at the end of the season, and the 27-year-old could become Brighton’s third signing ahead of next season.
The Seagulls have already sealed a move for Joao Pedro and James Milner is set to follow, both of which will go through when the transfer window opens, and Dahoud could be set to join them.
Fabrizio Romano claims that the deal is very advanced with a few final details all that is left to iron out before the documents can be signed on the deal.
A report in the Daily Mail also claims that Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has played a big role in the negotiations to persuade Dahoud to move to the club.
Brighton still look likely to qualify for Europe next season, entering this Premier League weekend in seventh, and that could be a further big draw for them in the transfer market.
Dahoud joined Dortmund in 2017, but injury issues have plagued his time with the club, especially this season, as he has made just nine Bundesliga appearances.
