Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between West Ham United and Manchester United, Sports Mole looks at the head-to-head record between the two clubs.
Manchester United will be aiming to strengthen their grip on a top-four spot in the Premier League table when they head to the London Stadium on Sunday night to face West Ham United.
The Red Devils are currently holding off Liverpool in fifth, but there are still plenty of points to play for before the end of the season, and the visitors will enter this match off the back of a 1-0 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night.
West Ham, meanwhile, are also in need of the points, with the Hammers losing their last three in the league, which has left them in 15th spot in the table, only four points clear of the relegation zone.

These two teams have locked horns on 125 occasions throughout history, and it is Man United that lead the head-to-head record 64 victories to West Ham’s 31, with the remaining 30 games finishing level.
Man United have also enjoyed the better of the recent meetings, winning seven of their last eight matches against the Hammers in all competitions, including two successes this term.
Indeed, the Red Devils won 1-0 in the reverse league game at Old Trafford earlier this season, before recording a 3-1 victory in Manchester in the fifth round of the FA Cup at the start of March.
Each of the last four games between these two sides have taken place at Old Trafford, but Man United also won on their last visit to the London Stadium – a 2-1 success in the Premier League in September 2021.

In the Premier League, these two sides have met on 53 occasions, with the 20-time English champions also dominating the head-to-head, winning 33 times to West Ham’s seven.
Man United have been victorious in each of their last five league games against the Hammers, with their last defeat in England’s top flight coming in September 2019.
Five of Man United’s seven Premier League losses against West Ham have come in London, but David Moyes‘s side have struggled to show consistency in front of their own fans this season, picking up only 22 points from 17 matches.
Wayne Rooney is the leading goalscorer in matches between the Red Devils and the Hammers, scoring 12 times in all competitions, while George Best is second on the list with 11.
