Leeds United’s Supporters Advisory Board (SAB) have issued a vote of no confidence against the club’s board following their defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Head coach Javi Gracia, along with the club’s management, faced calls to go after the 4-1 hammering on the south coast that left Leeds in deep trouble.
Leeds have lost four of their last five matches and are 16th in the table but just a point above the drop zone.
A statement read: “After the result and performance of the team today, the Leeds United Supporters Advisory Board would like to place on record its lack of faith in the current management team at the club.
“The SAB have been supportive of many decisions this year and will always work with the club to improve the way the club connects with its supporters and communities, so it is only right that we also address the current performances and the situation we are now faced with.
“Leeds United fans have, and will always, support our club through its ‘ups and downs’, but with four games left this situation is no longer sustainable.
“The narrow escape from relegation last season should have been the catalyst for a season of growth but this season has now turned into a humiliating disaster.
“We are therefore asking for immediate changes to be made to the first team coach and to those responsible for the recruitment of the managers and players who have been brought in over the last 14 months.”
Andrea Radrizzani, 48, has been Leeds’ majority owner since 2017 and saw the club achieve promotion to the Premier League in the 2019-20 season.
But following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa in February 2022, Leeds have battled relegation and narrowly avoided slipping back down to the Championship last season after finishing 17th under American coach Jesse Marsch.
Leeds, however, sacked Marsch in February after one year in charge, with the club only above the relegation zone on goal difference.
The SAB added: “There have been far too many questionable decisions and people must be made accountable,” citing the appointment of Marsch and their record in the transfer market.
Gracia was appointed as Marsch’s replacement on a flexible contract, but pressure is growing on the Spaniard.
Leeds’ next fixture is a trip to Manchester City on Saturday. They then host Newcastle United the following weekend, before heading to West Ham United and the visit of Tottenham Hotspur to end the campaign.
