Ex-Arsenal star Nicklas Bendtner was a surprise guest ahead of the Gunners’ huge match against Brighton.
The former striker spent nine years on their books, scoring 47 goals for the club across all competitions.
He was by no means a prolific forward at Arsenal and announced his retirement from football in 2021.
However, it’s clear that the north London side still hold a place in his heart nine years after his departure.
Arsenal host Brighton at the Emirates Stadium as they continue to set their sights on the Premier League title.
Before the match, a picture posted on The Secret Scout Twitter account shows Bendtner wearing a retro kit outside the ground.
The former Denmark international can be seen donning the home strip that Arsenal wore from 2000 to 2002.
They won the Premier League in the second season with the kit, and fans will be hoping it can bring them good luck this time round.
Following Manchester City’s 3-0 win away at Everton, Arsenal are four points behind the reigning champions in second.
Victory against Brighton would therefore close the gap to just one point with two matches left to play.
However, City still have a game in hand over the Gunners, which means they have a huge advantage heading into the final weeks.
Mikel Arteta’s side are certainly not out of the race just yet and have proven their worth throughout much of the campaign.
Despite this, it could prove to be too little, too later for them this season, with wins and dropped points from City needed to secure the title.
