Liverpool are said to be willing to part with £70 million to sign Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as Jurgen Klopp eyes his first signing of the summer transfer window.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that the Anfield camp are ready to end the race to bring in the World Cup winner Mac Allister who is ready to commit his future to the Merseysiders.
Klopp is desperate to overhaul his squad over the summer and a fresh pair of legs for his midfield roster is believed to be a priority for the Liverpool manager whose side have endured a frustrating season.
37-year-old James Milner, meanwhile, could be heading in the opposite direction with Brighton emerging as the frontrunner to land the former England international’s signature on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
Klopp has made it clear to the Liverpool top brass that he wants at least three big name midfield players this summer with the Reds in line to lose Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
