Southampton are close to naming Swansea boss Russell Martin as their new manager.
Martin was due to fly to Washington DC to meet Swansea’s American owners on Thursday for talks over his future but has remained at home.
The 37-year-old has one year left on his contract at the Welsh side.
Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League last week, are expected to formalise a deal to make Martin their new manager next week, according to talkSPORT.
Leicester were also linked with Martin but the Saints have moved quickly as they prepare for life in the Championship next season.

Ruben Selles, who replaced Nathan Jones as Southampton’s manager on an interim basis, is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Southampton have already made changes to their management structure with Jason Wilcox joining as their new director of football, while Darren Mowbray is expected to be named as the club’s new head of recruitment.
Martin will be Southampton’s fourth manager within the space of 12 months following Ralph Hasenhuttl, Jones and Selles.
