A recent report from the Liverpool Echo states that Liverpool has shown interest in Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu.
The club is closely monitoring his progress, while their bitter rivals Manchester United have also targeted Feyenoord’s captain.
Kokcu began his football journey in the Netherlands, playing for various clubs including Feyenoord after progressing through several academies. Despite representing the Netherlands at youth level, he later chose to play for the Turkish national team.
Since making his debut for Feyenoord at 17, he has made good progress and is now a pivotal figure and also the team captain.
In the 2022/23 season, he played a significant role as Feyenoord won the Eredivisie. He contributed heavily by scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.

The Red’s involvement in the race for the 22-year-old makes in even more interesting, and it remains to be seen if this will prompt United to intensify their pursuit. Currently, Kokcu has remained quiet about his future at Feyenoord beyond the summer.
