It is Daniel Levy vs Karren Brady again as Spurs go for a target the West Ham vice-chair loves amid Ange Postecoglou links.
With uncertainty surrounding David Moyes’ future at West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur managerless, both clubs have been heavily linked with mutual interest in several targets.
West Ham and Spurs have both been linked with Mauricio Pochettino, Arne Slot, Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Vincent Kompany and Xabi Alonso.
In most cases the Hammers were linked first.
Indeed it looked as though David Sullivan and the West Ham board would have a free run at some of those alleged managerial targets when Tottenham were reported to have been closing in on Julian Nagelsmann.
But that fell through, as did Tottenham’s hopes of luring back Chelsea-bound Pochettino.
Kompany and Slot have also killed any hopes West Ham or Spurs might have had of making them the progressive new manager The Times claims Sullivan and Daniel Levy want.
And Alonso has also publicly stated he is staying with Bayer Leverkusen.
Now it is Levy vs Karren Brady again as Spurs go for a target the West Ham vice-chair loves amid Ange Postecoglou links.
There is no love lost between West Ham and Tottenham at the best of times.

Whether it is supporters teasing and tormenting one another, the clubs fighting over a stadium or going through the courts over an alleged spying scandal where Brady was the target (BBC Sport).
Brady used to be friends with Levy but their relationship has soured since then.
With Moyes’ future uncertain, Brady dropped a clear hint earlier this month that Celtic boss Postecoglou would be her choice to replace the Scot should he depart at the end of the season.
Brady’s gushing column on the Australian boss sparked speculation he would be West Ham’s new manager this summer.
No sooner have West Ham been linked, though, than Spurs have entered the running.
Levy lurking will have Brady fretting
Tottenham Hotspur look set to step up their interest in Celtic boss Postecoglou in the coming days.
That’s according to The Daily Record, who claim Spurs will look to step up their interest in the 57-year-old with a package they believe will entice the Celtic hero to consider a switch to London.
What is clear at the moment is that nobody actually knows what is going to happen with Moyes at the end of the season.
The ridiculous claims and counter claims on an almost daily basis are evidence of that.
Whether that uncertainty will cost West Ham and benefit Spurs in any race for Postecoglou will become clear very soon.
But Levy lurking will certainly have Brady concerned.
Here’s a reminder of just some of what Brady had to say about the latest Celtic success story.
Let’s raise a glass to Celtic boss Postecoglou, don’t be surprised to see him make an impact in England….
Whether being emperor of a small kingdom is more satisfying than being president of a big one, the fact is that Celtic are minor players in modern football…
Sky recently signed to pay Scottish football £150million-a-year from 2025, while the company’s current contract with the EFL is £119m-a-season, but is likely to be increased because there is a probable new rival.
Chicken feed compared with the Premier League champions, who will earn £176m from TV money this season alone…
Postecoglou’s feats around the world suggest he would make an impact this side of Hadrian’s Wall and, no, this is not a new defensive strategy.”
