Aston Villa is reportedly showing interest in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as his contract with Liverpool approaches its end.
The 29-year-old midfielder, along with James Milner and Naby Keita, confirmed last month that he would be leaving the Reds this summer upon the expiration of his current deal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain had a promising start with Liverpool in the 2017/18 season, but recurring injuries hindered his progress and prevented him from becoming a key player under Jurgen Klopp.
It appears that Oxlade-Chamberlain is now close to securing a new club for himself as Milner is set to join Brighton and Keita has signed for Werder Bremen.
TalkSPORT has reported that Aston Villa, who recently secured the signing of Youri Tielemans on a free transfer, is now interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Champions League-winning midfielder has reportedly engaged in talks with Villa, led by manager Unai Emery.
Aston Villa had a successful end to their previous season, securing European football for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
With manager Emery’s track record of achieving success in the Europa League with previous clubs, Villa will be expected to make progress in the competition.
The manager will now aim to lead the team to success in the Conference League, a tournament recently won by West Ham United.
