According to the latest Mail+ Transfer Confidential newsletter, Manchester United are showing an interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby this summer.
Left-wing is not currently a priority for United, but they’re considering a move to replace Jadon Sancho.
Leverkusen are looking for around £65m to complete a sale, and Diaby has previously been linked with Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Manchester United’s transfer plans are currently somewhat on hold, with club takeover talks ongoing.
Reports have also linked Paris Saint-Germain with a move for their former player.
The Evening Standard previously reported that Arsenal looked at Diaby in the winter window, but Leverkusen didn’t want to let him go mid-season.
With two years left on his deal, this summer seems a more favourable time to cash in.
Around the same time, the Daily Mail claimed that Diaby is one of Arsenal’s key targets, with Mikel Arteta looking to add a versatile attacker to his squad if possible.
But Arsenal have since come close to an agreement on a new contract for Reiss Nelson, which has seemingly put the pursuit of a wide forward on the backburner.
Diaby is under contract with Leverkusen until 2025, and he managed 14 goals and 11 assists this season, bringing him to 49 goals and 48 assists in 172 games for Bayer Leverkusen overall.
The 23-year-old is also a France international, and he can play on either wing.
