Despite his brilliance, West Ham United should try to sell Kurt Zouma and replace him in the summer.
Kurt Zouma joined West Ham from Chelsea for around £30 million in the summer of 2021 (Daily Mail).

Firstly, I have to say that the 28-year-old centre-back is an absolute rock. He is an elite defender and when he plays, the Hammers are a better team.
However, there is one huge problem. A couple of months ago I wrote a piece here on Hammers News highlighting just how unreliable the Frenchman is from a fitness perspective.
Then those same problems reared their ugly head again when he suffered an injury against Crystal Palace. Zouma did return to a action for the Europa Conference League semi-final clashes with AZ Alkmaar but limped off in the final after just 62 minutes.
It could be time to move on from the former Chelsea man…
Despite his brilliance, West Ham should sell Kurt Zouma and replace him this summer
Even when the central defender is fit and playing games, he just looks like he’s only an awkward fall away from a serious injury.
Years of proems with his right knee have clearly its toll on Zouma, and he doesn’t seem to be anywhere near his physical peak in my opinion.
Every time he goes to ground it looks like he’s struggling to get back up. Sprinting back into position also seems like a real struggle for Zouma when he gets caught further up the pitch.
The 28-year-old missed six weeks and 10 games for the Hammers last season with knee AND hamstring problems. This term, he has missed 12 matches with the same injuries (Transfermarkt).
Just before West Ham signed Kurt Zouma, David Sullivan actually tried to pull the plug on the deal due to concerns about Zouma’s knees that arose during his medical (The Mirror).
And those problems have now come home to roost. Physically robustness is something that every player needs in order to be successful in the Premier League.
And unfortunately for the centre-back, he just doesn’t have that. I like Zouma a lot but I genuinely feel as though David Moyes should be looking to make a big upgrade on him in the summer transfer window.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2025, so the Hammers will most likely have to move him on in this window, if we are to get maximum value for him.
